Amna Al Qubaisi kickstarted her karting career in 2014. She raced in multiple Championships from when she was 14 years old. Moreover, she’s made appearances at multiple races. These races include Rotax Max Challenge World Finals, X30 Euro Series, and Italian X30 Championships. Which all brought strong results, and she moved up to Italian F4 for 2018 with PREMA Powerteam.
Ever since then, Amna Al Qubaisi made appearances in Formula 4 UAE, F3 Asian, and Formula Regional European Championships.
Amna was born in Washington, Virginia in the United States of America on March 28, 2000. Her father is Khaled Al Qubaisi. He is a racing driver who was the first Emirati who competed at the 24 hours of Le Mans race in France. So, ever since she was a little girl Amna Al Qubaisi witnessed the marvel that is motorsports racing. Hence her passion for the sport!
When she was 14, she told her father than she wanted to be a motorsports racer. At the time she was also training to be a gymnast but to compete, she had to wait another year. On the other hand, motorsports racing has multiple competitions throughout the year and that was what she wanted to do.
In 2018, Amna Al Qubaisi became the FIRST Emirati woman who participated in a motorsport test program for Formula E*. That was where she drove Envision Racing team in Riyadh. Moreover, she is the first Emirati woman who won in the single-seater category at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2019.
*Formula E is the world’s top electric car racing series.
As a driver, she stands in the 6th position with 112 points and has a final tournament in Austin, Texas in the United States this October. It is important to note that Amna Al Qubaisi is a university student in Sorbonne University as well as a motorsport racer.
