SEHA Is Offering Free Counselling To Abu Dhabi Residents

Mayar Ibrahim

You are not alone! Abu Dhabi launched a new campaign that focuses on the mental health of Abu Dhabi Residents. Moreover, SEHA started the “You Are Not Alone” initiative to encourage residents to reach out and seek support. They can do so via the Estijaba helpline.

SEHA started the campaign in 2021 with the Department of Community Development (DCD) and Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC)

Thus, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company’s staff provide psychological support services through Estijaba.

The helpline’s number is 8001717.

Additionally, it is functional 6 days a week from Sunday to Friday 8 AM – 6 PM.

The “You Are Not Alone” initiative aims to provide a safe space for Abu Dhabi residents

The team aims to create a safe and non-judgemental space through every call. They also assure that all call are confidential and callers can remain anonymous. Furthermore, they created this service to help residents.

It’s a safe space where they can talk about psychological concerns and mental health over the phone. Also, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company is providing services from telephone counselling to referrals.

Your mental health matters!

However, if you need assistance outside of SEHA’s helpline’s hours, Amal Counseling offers a 24 hour helpline service. This non-profit organisation opened in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
