Abu Dhabi PCR

Remember a time when PCR tests were over AED300 dirhams? Those were the days when the lockdown was imposed, and then curfew. COVID-19 cases were high and slowly they started the lower. With time the cost of PCR tests kept dropping in price until it reached AED50.

This looks like it’s the light at the end of the tunnel, seeing as regulations began to ease. Residents no longer need a green pass to enter the capital from different emirates.

The cost of PCR tests are now set to AED40 in Abu Dhabi

The price of PCR tests applies to all medical facilities in the emirate

The Department of Health in Abu Dhabi updated the cost of PCR tests city-wide to AED40. This applies to all medical facilities in the emirate.

According to the current COVID-19 safety guidelines in Abu Dhabi, residents must get a negative PCR test once every 14 days to maintain the green pass on the Al Hosn app. Access to many public places in the capital requires the green pass. So far, no other emirate has reduced the price of PCR tests.
