These Six Restaurants Are Opening Up In Abu Dhabi This Month

With families returning from their summer vacations, schools reopening, and new residents coming in, September is unofficially launch season in the UAE.

As a result, it is not surprising that the capital is seeing a large influx of restaurant openings this month, including both locally owned businesses and well-known names from around the world.

Here are six for you to try:

1. SLRP Ramen by 3Fils

Cuisine: Japanese

The group that created the acclaimed 3 Fils also created the ramen shop at Yas Mall.Executive chef Shun Shiroma, who formerly worked at the Michelin-starred Tsuta restaurant in Tokyo and specialises in Japanese soba noodles, is in charge of SLRP.

A variety of sushi meals, including dragon rolls and avocado maki, as well as prawn gyoza, salmon carpaccio, seaweed salad, and Wagyu delicacies are offered on the menu.The major attraction, though, are the noodles, which come in vegan and miso, Wagyu truffle, and yuzu tori variants.

2. Karaz

Cuisine: Lebanese

Homemade delicacies from Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, and Jordan are given a contemporary twist at Karaz in Yas Mall.

The menu includes traditional hot and cold meze as well as Arabic breakfast foods like shakshuka. Mansaf, chicken freekeh, fish siyadieh, and maqloubeh with meat are some of the main dishes.

3. MouzMari

Cuisine: Emirati-Argentinian

Through its menu, this Argentinian steakhouse owned by Emiratis hopes to meld the two cultures.

The menu include dishes like Muhammar paella, which incorporates regional shellfish cooked using the Argentinian paella technique, and a traditional rack of lamb presented as a rendition of Emirati machboos.

Since its soft debut in May, the restaurant has been taking reservations, but this month it officially opened to the public.

4. Grand Beirut

Cuisine: Lebanese

The name alone gives it away, as Grand Beirut brings its traditional Lebanese cuisine to the nation’s capital after first debuting in Silicon Oasis in Dubai.

Olive oil and vinegar samples are popular at the vibrant restaurant, and customers can partake in them as they wait for their meals. Arabic food is offered on the menu, including hummus, moutabel, and other hot and cold meze. The main courses include salt-crusted sea bass and oven-baked lobster with tahini salsa and spicy potato.

5. Terra

Cuisine: Mediterranean

The restaurant, which is also a native of Dubai, provides Mediterranean flavours to Al Qana in the city.

For starters, the menu offers salmon carpaccio and yellowtail ceviche, as well as a variety of salads with beetroot quinoa, crab, and lobster.

The main courses include veal chop with confit potatoes and cornfed baby chicken, short rib pappardelle, mushroom risotto, truffle rigatoni, and mushroom rigatoni.

6. Avobar

Cuisine: Healthy

The restaurant, which has a flagship location in Covent Garden, London, makes sweet and savoury dishes for avocado lovers and health-conscious guests using avocado as its headline ingredient.

Avobar has a 24-hour menu that includes breakfast items, salads, and entrées. The majority of the items, from acai bowls to sourdough toast, are infused with the creamy fruit, each imported from Mexico, as is to be anticipated.

Expect lobster tagliatelle and grilled salmon with avocado, asparagus, and quinoa as your main courses.
