When Tom Cruise and the crew filmed in Abu Dhabi they faced a few challenges

The complexity of the shoot included building an Arabian village in the desert and multiple sets at the terminal. This effort required a collaborative effort from multiple businesses and entities across Abu Dhabi. Including twofour54 Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Airports (AD Airports) and Etihad Airways, the official airline partner of the film.

However, despite filming amidst COVID-19, the shoot faced no issues regarding the pandemic. Tom Cruise, Christopher McQuarrie, and the crew filmed in 2021 over 15 days and thanks to the ADFC protocols put in place.
