His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has donated AED11.09million to a Cairo cancer hospital in the wake of a terrorist attack that killed 20 and injured 47 people.

The money will fund restoration at the National Cancer Institute in Cairo.

The donation further cements the fraternal ties between the two countries, as the UAE is keen to support the ‘development, security and stability of Egypt as it stands ‘with Egypt in its fight against terrorism and extremism as a common battle against this menace, which threatens the region and the world at large’.

The UAE condemned the attacks, the Minister for Foreign Affairs stated: “This heinous act of terrorism is completely against all religious and humanitarian values and principles.”
