7. Find Absolut at Kaynouna – a night encouraging wasteless nights – we stan!

Absolut, (a carbon-neutral drink’s company with the world’s most energy-efficient distillery) is highlighting the creative ways you can totally rethink your recycling behaviour… and we’re not just talking about straws.

Absolut The Remixers takes a step back to rethink waste, in all facets of the nightlife.

Popping up all over Dubai, to promote wasteless nights and events, the bars are made from recycled materials, even the bar management is sustainable with different bins for recycling, reusable cups for festival-goers and recycled stations with awards, encouraging people to clean up at events – genius!

On Friday, December 13, find The Remixers at Kaynouna, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel

5. A real-life winter wonderland will surround the beautiful Madinat Jumeirah for its annual Festive Market

The annual Madinat Jumeirah Festive Market is back!

The best part about this outdoor festival is that it’s perfect for the cooler weather. Not to mention it’s free entry for all, and you can truly feel the spirit of Christmas with children running around, and families taking part in all the fun activities and games; from snow fights (yes, in the desert!) to bungee jumping, to an array of food and bevvie options. This is what Xmas dreams are made of.

It runs for 16 days between December 13-28 at the Fort Island, Madinat Jumeirah Conference Centre.

This winter wonderland of sorts will also have a live band to keep everyone in the musical joys of the festive season, as well as a gingerbread house available for everyone to decorate, magical abra tours that will be decked out in Santa and cookie decor. Cute!

The timings will be as follows:

Sunday – Wednesday from 3 pm till late*

Thursday – Saturday from 12pm till late

(December 24 and 25 timings will start from 12pm till late!)

More info about all the fun festive things at Jumeirah here.

4. The Santa Run takes place this FRIDAY at DFC

The fun run you’ve been waiting all year for.

Expect to see hundreds of Santas run their hearts out, (if you don’t feel like running, this is fun for supporters too!), decked out in beards and t-shirts (yup, you get a Santa-esque cossie when you register!) at Dubai Festival City this weekend.

The best bit? There’s an AED500 prize for best-dressed Santa peeps!
