Abu Dhabi Mobility has announced a partial road closure on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed International Road (E11) near Al Mirfa in the Al Dhafra region. If you’re taking this route, expect some disruption. The closure will affect two lanes in each direction and will last overnight, from midnight to 5 am daily, running from December 21 to January 10, 2026.

This means that overnight commuters—be prepared for detours and delays. If you’re planning to travel on E11 during these hours, make sure you leave a little earlier than usual, just in case.
There’s another road closure on King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, and it’s a big one! Starting December 18, there’s a partial closure of the intersections along this busy street, affecting both locals and commuters. The closure is expected to last until December 25 2025, so there’s plenty of time to get used to the changes.

With these intersections closed, drivers will need to plan ahead and factor in extra time for rerouted traffic. While it’s not the end of the world, getting stuck in the wrong lane is the last thing you need, right? So, take a moment to check your route before heading out.
