Abu Dhabi Police is always on top of its game and this time too was no different! A resident posted a video on social media, lauding the officials for alerting drivers about accidents ahead.

An Instagram user thanked the Abu Dhabi police for always looking out for citizens

The post praised the technological advancements in the UAE, which have help to avoid accidents and save lives. After first praying for those individuals who have met with fatal road accidents in the past, the user explained how the radar system employed by Abu Dhabi police works. “Look at the technology we have achieved in the UAE,” the Abu Dhabi resident can be heard saying in the video, adding, “We are going to Abu Dhabi and before this system accidents used to happen because drivers did not know there was an accident ahead.”

The Abu Dhabi Police now sends out a warning

In the case of an accident, everyone driving in the area receives an alert on their phones. Messages read notes like “There is an accident in the area, please slow down!” or “Be careful, accident ahead”.

The user recalled what it used to be like when accidents would happen back in the day

“Remember what used to happen before the Abu Dhabi Police did this for us?” he asked, adding, “One person would come out of nowhere and support and assist the people and car involved, especially on remote roads. We thank Abu Dhabi policy for our safety.”

Not too long ago, it put a spotlight on some dodgy drivers trying to skirt around toll fees. These motorists were caught on camera pulling over just before toll gates, patiently waiting for the free-pass hours to kick in. This risky behaviour not only creates traffic chaos but also puts everyone on the road in danger.
