In a recent legal case, a car purchase made via social media in Abu Dhabi turned into a courtroom battle over AED 30,000. The buyer, after conducting a quick inspection of the car, proceeded with the purchase. Initially, everything appeared to be in order, and the deal went through without any issues.
However, after using the vehicle, the buyer discovered a hidden transmission defect. He alleges that the seller was aware of this defect but failed to disclose it prior to the sale.

The buyer then took the matter to court, seeking justice for the undisclosed issue. In a favorable ruling for the buyer, the court decided to cancel the sale. The seller was ordered to return AED 30,000, along with an additional AED 3,000 as compensation.
This case, reported by Gulf Today, highlights the importance of transparency in car deals, particularly when transactions are conducted online.
