Abu Dhabi recently came together to honour its senior community through Story Lines: A Spotlight on Seniors in Abu Dhabi, a powerful new publication that blends storytelling with social impact. The event gathered some of the capital’s most respected elders, whose personal journeys highlighted the strength, wisdom, and life lessons that only time can offer.

From stories of resilience to quiet moments of inspiration, each narrative served as a reminder that the older generation continues to shape the future, offering valuable perspectives that influence innovation, diplomacy, and deeper community connections.

A platform powered by community leadership

At the heart of this initiative is Lina El Labban Lampkin, Chairperson of AmCham Abu Dhabi. Speaking at the event, she said, “We are proud to support initiatives that celebrate the diverse voices that contribute to the fabric of our community. Stories from Emiratis and longtime residents of all nationalities, including our members, reflect the spirit of unity, respect, and shared progress that defines Abu Dhabi and our AmCham Abu Dhabi values.”

As the organisation looks ahead to its 40th anniversary in 2026, it continues to champion small businesses, local talent, and meaningful initiatives that build social cohesion through culture and education, connecting past experiences with future aspirations.
