What does it mean

The committees will handle disputes related to ownership, management and partnerships within family businesses based in Abu Dhabi. This includes issues between partners, family members or even third parties.

To keep businesses running smoothly, the committees can take urgent steps to prevent disruption. They can bring in experts and step in when disputes aren’t resolved through a Family Council or Dispute Settlement Centre. Their decisions carry the same legal weight as a court ruling and can be appealed if needed.

Confidentiality is a key part of the process

Each committee will be led by a judge and supported by experts in legal, financial, and family business matters. This ensures fair and professional handling of every case.

Overall, this step strengthens Abu Dhabi’s legal framework. It gives family businesses clearer, more reliable support when it matters most.
