In a heartwarming gesture of kindness and community spirit, Abu Dhabi Police, in collaboration with the Make a Wish Foundation, granted the wish of a three-year-old Emirati boy to experience life as a police officer for a day.

The Traffic Awareness and Education Team of Abu Dhabi Police, along with the Make a Wish Foundation, orchestrated a memorable day for the young boy, complete with a specially tailored police officer’s uniform.

Accompanied by his sister, the child embarked on a field tour aboard a police patrol vehicle, traversing the streets of the capital.

Thrilled by the experience, the boy’s joy was palpable as he listened to the blaring police siren and closely shadowed the officers while they carried out their duties. Interacting with the police personnel, the youngster immersed himself in the role, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Organized in collaboration with the Umniah Foundation, the initiative coincided with Emirati Children’s Day, further amplifying its significance. Hani Al Zubaidi, CEO of the Make a Wish Foundation, expressed gratitude to Abu Dhabi Police for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding society and for making the young boy’s dream a reality.

In addition to fulfilling the boy’s wish, the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police engaged in various activities with the British Mamoura Academy and the Make a Wish Foundation. These activities included an educational program aimed at raising awareness about traffic safety, featuring a display by the Children’s Traffic Patrol and workshops to impart valuable lessons to students.

Brigadier General Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, emphasized that Emirati Children’s Day serves as a testament to the UAE’s dedication to nurturing and protecting its children, ensuring their well-being and securing their rights.
