Abu Dhabi’s population has now reached a total of 4,135,985 people. And being the world’s safest city for nine consecutive years, no one is surprised with the latest figures!

Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) recently released new data

It revealed that Abu Dhabi achieved a 7.5 percent growth in population in 2024. The emirate’s population has increased by 51% over the past decade, rising from 2.7 million in 2014 to over 4.1 million in 2024.

This sustained demographic expansion coincides with significant economic achievements, including GDP growth by 3.8 percent last year to an all-time high of AED1.2 trillion, driven by non-oil sectors, which grew by 6.2 percent to account for 54.7 percent of the total economic output.

“Abu Dhabi’s sustained population growth reflects the government’s success in creating an environment that attracts international talent and investment. Through strategic policy development and infrastructure investment, Abu Dhabi has established itself as a leading destination for professionals seeking growth opportunities in a stable, innovative environment,” he said.

Abu Dhabi’s workforce increased by 9.1 percent in 2024, with growth across all skill levels. Professional roles increased by 6.4 percent, as the emirate gradually directs its focus into industries including AI, technology, financial services, and advanced manufacturing.
