Parents In Abu Dhabi Are Proud And Excited Over Last Day Of School
Summer holidays officially started in Abu Dhabi today! And both, parents and children are brimming with excitement. “Now it’s time for some serious summer fun,” posted one mother on her Instagram handle.
Schools are finally off in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi summer vacations for schools following an April start began today. Woohoo, it’s time to put on some party shoes!
This is according to ADEK (Department of Education and Knowledge), the authority that overlooks public and private schools across the emirate. For schools following a September start, the summer break will be after June 27, 2025. Not too far either…
The summer break will last for about eight weeks for all schools
That’s two months of too much fun! According to one mother, who posted a picture from her daughter’s last day of school, they will reopen on August 25, 2025. An excited mommy wrote, “Goodbye homework and lunchbox, hello holidays.” Phew, everyone knows the effort that goes behind making children study and preparing their snacks!

The family moved from England to Abu Dhabi last year. “A year that started in England and ends in Abu Dhabi. What a journey,” penned an emotional mama, who goes by the name abudhabi_tales on Instagram. Her daughters went from a school in a tiny village in England with just 80 students to an international school in Abu Dhabi, boasting of 1600 students from all over the world. New country, new school, new routines, new friends – all with a smile on their faces!
