The country renowned for its constant inventions, the UAE, is breaking yet another convention by opening up it’s very own water-based theatre.
A 5D cinema theatre that fills up with water is going to open at Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi by June.
Cinesplash at the Abu Dhabi waterpark announced the news in the Arabian Travel Market and said that the cinema will fill up with 45-50 centimetres of water.

The reason behind the out-of-this-world cinema is to tell the story of the “Legend of the Lost Pearl,” which is an award-winning story about the pearl diving history of the UAE.
Following a main character called Dana, the audience will embark on a quest through Abu Dhabi’s sands and discover the prosperious activities of her village.
Apart from the cinema filling up with water, the 3D film will be played with special effects like water spraying, water explosions, rain, fountains and more water stimulations.
