The ICP has announced that Sudanese citizens will be exempt from all residency and entry permit fines until the end of the year. This generous move is a testament to the UAE’s commitment to supporting its brotherly nations during tough times and highlights its role as a champion of humanitarian aid!
The decision by The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) demonstrates the UAE’s dedication to easing the burdens currently faced by Sudanese nationals due to the ongoing crisis
The waiver of fines aims to provide much-needed relief to Sudanese residents, allowing them to manage their affairs with greater ease during this period of uncertainty.
The ICP has specified that this exemption will be effective from May 19, 2025, and will remain in effect until the close of the year.
Sudanese nationals who have outstanding fines are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to regularize their residency status, whilst renewal applications can be submitted through the ICP’s user-friendly digital platforms, ensuring a smooth and flexible process with all incurred fines being waived.
