The Logo For The First Emirati Space Mission Is A Wonderful Tribute To The UAE’s Late Founding Father

There has been massive anticipation with The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC)’s plans to be the first Arab and Emirati mission to the International Space Station (ISS) on September 25, 2019.

With only three months left, the prep and lead-up to the mission have been shared on social media consistently.

The mission to reach the ISS is part of the UAE Astronaut Programme, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The mission is honouring the late HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan by adding his image onto

The logo features the late founding father HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who was an avid advocate for the UAE progressing to modernity.

What a beautiful tribute.

According to the MBRSC, the logo is also a reflection of Emirati youth, their talent and contribution to the future of the UAE- especially with regard to space achievements.
