The UAE has expressed its heartfelt condolences and solidarity with Pakistan following the devastating fire at Gul Plaza in Karachi, which has now claimed at least 29 lives, with over 80 people still missing as rescue efforts continue.
The fire broke out late Saturday night at one of Karachi’s busiest shopping malls and spread rapidly through the building. By the time firefighters arrived, flames had already engulfed multiple floors, making rescue operations extremely difficult.
Videos from the scene showed thick smoke pouring out as firefighters battled intense heat through the night.

Rescue officials revealed that the mall’s lack of ventilation caused smoke to quickly fill the building, slowing efforts to reach those trapped inside. By Monday, large portions of the structure had collapsed, prompting fears that the remaining sections could give way at any moment.
As search operations continue days after the blaze, families are still desperately waiting for news of their loved ones. Karachi remains in mourning as the city grapples with one of its deadliest mall fires in recent years.
The UAE’s message of solidarity underscores the strong bond between the two nations during moments of shared grief!
