It’s a ‘negative social phenomenon’

Police disapprove of the negative social phenomenon. The act delays traffic patrols, ambulances and civil defense vehicles and could possibly result in worsening the condition of the injured or may even cause fatalities, according to an Instagram post.

You can be fined AED1,000 for obstructing or blocking roads and the UAE cybercrime law states that using an electronic device to invade a person’s privacy could receive a fine between AED150,000 to AED500,000 and up to six months prison.

You have been warned.
