Under the directives of President HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and with the support of HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyann, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the UAE has just signed an AED734million assistance fund with Pakistan.
The third phase of the UAE Pakistan Assistance Programme (UAE PAP) aims to support initiatives for a better future, funding projects that offer sustainability and continuous benefits to beneficiaries over the long run, according to Wam.ae.
The agreement was signed on May 6, marking the 51st anniversary of the drive of humanitarian aid for Pakistan initiated by late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1967. The date was recognised across the region, 100 years since the founding father of the UAE was born.
