Here Are Four Events You CANNOT Miss At The Abu Dhabi Festival

The 15th Abu Dhabi Festival is looming, and with tickets selling fast, it’s high-time you pick the events you need to hit.

This year, the fantastic cultural event features contributions from 30 countries and over 500 artists and includes everything from theatre, music, literature and visual arts.

With ticketed events happening at locations throughout Abu Dhabi, make sure you pop into the brilliant festival in the park, at Umm Al Emarat Park (scroll for details…).

Here’s what’s happening:

4. A full evening of Bach with the Bach Project

For fans of classical music, this is right up your street. The recital includes complete Bach concertos for two, three and four pianos, six pianists and is delivered in partnership with Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel and the Arts Centre at NYUAD.

3. The ‘sarod master’ Amjad Ali Khan in town for one night only

A master in Indian classical music, Amjad Ali Khan will perform at the Emirates Palace Auditorium. Khan has travelled extensively and wowed audiences with this traditional music, and the highly acclaimed king of sarod will perform for one night only, so booking in advance for this evening is advised.

2. Two nights of exciting ballet at Don Quixote

The tale of romantic knight Don Quixote has been told through the ages; the famed ballet is a beautiful story of imagination, friendship, love and loyalty. A mix of Franco-Russian choreography, director José Carlos Martínez captures the spirit of the knight in this tale of love

1. The festival in the park is unmissable for all ages

Spread over three days, this is a huge musical festival including concerts, interactive Bollywood dance workshops, community events AND screenings showcasing India’s rich culture including Jai Ho, A Brush with Life, and The Spirit of India.

The fun starts at 2pm daily and continues until 10pm. Giving you a real taste of India, the whole family will enjoy this fun-filled cultural festival.
