Israeli Airstrike Kills Lebanese Actor Ali Younes And His Daughter Shortly Before Ceasefire
Lebanese actor Ali Younes and his daughter Celine were killed in an Israeli airstrike in South Lebanon, shortly before a ceasefire was set to take effect late Thursday night.
Final Moments Before the Strike
In one of his final posts on Facebook, Younes described the situation in South Lebanon as highly tense, with residents caught between hopes for a humanitarian truce and continued military escalation.
Political Warning in Last Post
He also warned that any agreement should not allow Israel freedom of movement inside Lebanese territory, stressing the importance of ensuring the right to respond to any violations.
Career and Legacy
Ali Younes was a member of Lebanon’s Actors Syndicate. He began his career in radio before moving into acting, where he appeared in several well-known dramas including “Asser,” “Al Mot 2,” “Khamsa w Nos,” “Al Thaman,” and “Awlad Adam.”
