A few days ago, an ancient mummy was found near the veterinary slides at the end of Airport Street in Aswan!
To begin their investigation, the Aswan Public Prosecution summoned officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to question them on the incident and determine the dynasty it belongs to and its archaeological value.
Based on the testimony of the officials, the mummy was in a state of decay and incomplete, it was also found that the head was separated from the body and that it was wrapped in linen bandages.
They also confirmed the mummy to belong to the late period, one of Egypt’s ancient eras.
The artifact is subject to the Antiquities Protection Law No. 49 of 2016 and Decision No. 117 of 1983 and its amendments. Thus, the prosecution decided to hand it over to the museum store affiliated with the Aswan and Nubia Antiquities Zone.
