Alexandria’s 65 beaches attracted one million visitors from different areas during Eid al-Adha. This announcement was made by the Central Administration for Tourism and Resorts in Alexandria. The beaches stretch from Abu Qir to Abu Talat, covering a wide area in the city. The influx of visitors came from various governorates, indicating the popularity of Alexandria as a holiday destination.

During the Eid holiday, the beaches in Alexandria had varying occupancy rates. On the first day, it was just 25 percent, but it increased to over 75 percent on the second day. On the third and fourth days, the beaches reached full capacity at 100 percent. Surprisingly, despite the high number of visitors, the Tourism and Resorts Department received only 155 complaints throughout the entire seven-day holiday period. Mohamed Abdel Razek, the Head of the department, shared this information, indicating that the majority of beach-goers had a satisfactory experience during their time at the beaches.

Authorities in Alexandria conducted regular follow-up during the Eid days to ensure discipline on the beaches. This was in line with the directives of Governor Mohamed al-Sharif. Each complaint received was carefully addressed by the authorities. Their aim was to achieve the highest levels of discipline and commitment on the beaches of Alexandria.
