Another Nayera Ashraf? Student At Zagazig Medicine University Attempted To Murder His Colleague
Social Media has been ablaze since the news of a violent murder attempt that took place at Zagazig Medicine University went viral.
A few days ago, a 4th year medicine student named Mohamed Hamed, attempted to murder his classmate, Maryam Mohamed, after she rejected his engagement proposal.
Mohamed, who is in the same year as Maryam, had entered the university hospital with a cold weapon (a knife), determined to murder her after she rejected him.
Angered by the rejection, the criminal confronted Maryam in the university hospital, stabbing her in the right side of her abdomen, and her left hand, leaving her in a serious condition.
Their classmates quickly interfered, promptly controlling Mohamed while they waited for the university security to apprehend him.
The police quickly arrived, arrested Mohamed, and began their investigation to determine the reason until he was presented to the Public prosecutor.
The University confirmed that Maryam’s condition is currently stable due to her light wounds and that she is fully conscious.
Social media quickly compared the accident to Nayera Ashraf’s, a case that has shaken public opinion in Egypt. Social media users quickly urged authorities to give a verdict equal to Mohamed Adel’s, Nayera’s murderer.
