El-Sisi: “Egypt Is Capable Of Safeguarding Its Homeland”

During the inauguration of the International Manufacturing Convention and Exhibition’s (IMCE) second edition, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi delivered an important speech and stressed Egypt’s ability to safeguard its homeland.

In his first response to the incidents in Taba and Nuweiba that took place yesterday, and the ongoing attack on Gazan territories by the Israeli Defense Forces.

On Friday, two drones coming from south of the Red Sea crashed in Taba and Nuweiba.

He explained that these two incidents indicate that the escalations are affecting the entire region, and that the escalation is a ticking timebomb waiting to harm everyone.

However, he stressed that Egypt is a strong country with inviolable sovereignty, and its army is capable of completely protecting it.

He stressed that, “we, by the grace of God, the army and egyptian youth can protect our homeland, and that we’re working on de-escalating the situation in Gaza,”

In his efforts, he reaffirmed his keenness on maintaining a positive stance on the Palestinian cause, “We welcome the decision of the United Nations General Assembly calling for a ceasefire in Gaza,”

He also affirmed Egypt’s foreign policy is not based on treachery or conspiracy, adding that [the Egyptian state] is keen on building the country.

He welcomed the prospect of a cessation of hostilities, and a ceasefire, saying, “rushing into an impulsive reaction can lead to regret, and I warn against it.”
