Missing Silver Bed Found! Cabinet Confirmed The Bed Is Under Renovation

Recently, social media went up in a frenzy after news of the Royal Family’s silver bed went missing. 

The rumor of the bed going missing was initially circulated after a tourist compared a visit in 2020 where the bed was displayed in the picture behind her, and a visit in 2024 where the bed was missing.

This led the cabinet and the Supreme Council of Antiquities to release a statement, assuring concerned users that the bed was undergoing renovation.

Moemen Othman, head of the museums sector at the Supreme Council of Antiquities, confirmed that the bed is currently undergoing renovation and that the bed was removed from display a year ago for restoration as it will be exhibited in a special hall dedicated to Amina Hanem Elhamy’s collection.

According to the plan, a dedicated museum for the Manial Palace would be built inside it to display numerous notable artifacts from its collection.
