New Record! Egypt Sees An Influx Of Foreign Tourists In 2023
During the Cabinet’s weekly meeting, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa announced that Egypt witnessed an influx of foreign tourists in 2023!
Despite the various challenges and odds, Egypt welcomed over 14.906 million tourists in 2023, with 3.6 million alone in the fourth quarter!
The significant number broke the country’s 2010 record of 14.731 million foreign visitors in a year!
The minister explained “3.6 million tourists arrived in Egypt in the fourth quarter of 2023, marking the second-highest demand for travel in history. This represents a decrease of 600,000 tourists from the same period the year before and an increase of roughly 8% over the previous year.”
