This Viral Case Of a Baby Born Without A Nose Is Sparking Controversial Debate on Abortion

An Egyptian content creator’s story has gone viral after he revealed that his newborn daughter was born with a rare and severe congenital condition—reigniting debate online about the role of religious guidance versus medical advice in critical pregnancy decisions.

The father, one of the well-known “Zozat brothers,” said doctors discovered the condition during the fifth month of pregnancy. He explained that while medical professionals outlined the seriousness of the diagnosis and the potential complications ahead, he also received religious guidance advising against termination.

At birth, his daughter was found to have a rare condition involving the complete absence of the nose. Reportedly documented only a few dozen times worldwide, the condition can lead to major respiratory challenges due to the lack of a normal nasal airway.

In emotional footage that has reached millions of viewers, the father described the early moments after delivery, saying the baby struggled to breathe, had difficulty crying, and was immediately admitted to intensive care. Doctors later performed surgery to help stabilize her condition, with additional procedures expected in the future as part of ongoing treatment.

The case has since triggered widespread discussion across social media platforms, with many users debating a deeply sensitive question: when a severe prenatal diagnosis is made, how should families balance religious beliefs with medical expertise—and who ultimately should guide such a life-altering decision?

As the conversation continues, the story highlights the emotional and ethical complexity faced by families in rare medical cases where faith, medicine, and hope intersect.
