What started as a lifelong search for identity has now turned into one of the most emotional reunions capturing attention online.
In a TikTok live, Islam shared the moment that changed everything. After decades of searching, one final DNA test confirmed a match with a Libyan family — finally giving him the answer he had been chasing his entire life.
In that same moment, he revealed a truth that reshaped his identity: his real name is Mohamed.
But the discovery went far beyond a name. Islam found out his father is still alive and that he has 20 siblings, making him the fourth among them.
His first meeting with his brother was filled with overwhelming emotion, marking the end of a journey defined by uncertainty and hope.
Islam’s story dates back to 1983, when he was kidnapped as a baby from El Shatby Hospital in Alexandria by a woman known as “Aziza Bint Iblis,” one of Egypt’s most infamous cases.
His experience later inspired the Ramadan 2026 series Hekayet Nargis, which explored the psychological impact of child abduction and identity loss.

Actress Riham Abdelghafour portrayed the kidnapper, bringing depth to a story rooted in real pain, while the series highlighted the long-term emotional consequences of such crimes.
Following Islam’s discovery, Abdelghafour expressed relief and gratitude, while actor Hamza El Eily shared his happiness that Islam had finally reunited with his family, noting that the series had fulfilled its message.
Much like the cast, many online praised the show after the real-life ending unfolded. At the same time, countless others simply celebrated Islam’s long-awaited reunion, sharing genuine happiness after a lifetime of searching and uncertainty.
