5. Stay Indoors And Keep Your Windows Shut
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority usually broadcasts the country’s weather every day, so, if you find out that a sandstorm is about to hit near where you live, best to stay indoors, and keep your windows sealed shut.

Air conditioner vents usually absorb and purify the dusty sand entering our homes, however, it’s rarely ever cleaned. Therefore, cleaning your clogged air conditioner can help keep your home clean, and dust-free.
Fluids, especially water are your best friend during sandstorms. Remember to keep well hydrated or even spray water on your face and eyes if you come in direct contact with dust.
Pull over at the nearest safe spot, keep your headlights on, turn on your hazard lights, slow down, and proceed with caution, sounding your horn periodically. Use the highway’s centerline to guide you if you can’t see in front of you.
