Sounds like a typical UAE thing, doesn’t it?

As proven by ex-residents of the country, you can get yourself out of the UAE but you can’t get the UAE out of you. Here’s how some ex-expats are uniquely paying tribute to their time in the United Arab Emirates.

A Canadian resident shared how, in a heartwarming gesture, they chose their car number plate with the initials “UAE” to serve as a reminder of the country they left behind.

Soon, other ex-expats were quick to share their versions of car number plate tributes, including one from Norway and one from the UK

This Tesla driver (@mani.brilliant) shared how despite moving to Norway, they couldn’t get over Dubai.

This UK driver (@masarweh32) has paid tribute to the UAE with a flag sticker attached to the spare tyre on the back of their car

Folks, it’s true isn’t it? Once you live in this country, no other place will ever compare!
