The March For International White Cane Day Was Held At Expo 2020 Dubai In Support Of The Visually Impaired

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination held a march to support the visually impaired as part of International White Cane Day. The march is observed worldwide every year on October 15 to recognise their achievements.

The Ministry of Community Development in collaboration with the Emirates Association of Visually Impaired held this year’s march at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The ‘PoDium’ app is an interactive platform designed to help People Of Determination tour the Expo 2020 site. In addition, the Expo site has 4 quiet rooms, they allow service and guide dogs, and smart  accessible devices to act as tour guides within each pavilion.
