An Emirates flight from Trivandrum International Airport , India crashed on landing in August last year and twelve passengers from the flight are now suing Boeing, it was reported on Tuesday.

Chicago based Boeing, an American company that manufactures and designs airplanes, have been approached for comment on the lawsuit which alleges the electronics systems on the aircraft failed, according to Fox Business.

A system malfunction may have caused the accident

A recent report revealed the plane was in working order and that authorities were looking elsewhere for a cause.

While the lawsuit states a key switch failed at a critical moment and staff were given no malfunction warning.

Fortunately there were no injuries in the frightening crash, however a firefighter tragically lost his life during the rescue operation.
