Heroes are everywhere. They deliver your food, they clean the windows, they fix your car, and they rescue animals… they are literally everywhere and anyone can be a hero. Some work on the frontlines and those heroes are unlike any other! First Corporal Ghadeer Hamoud Al Kaabi from the Directorate General of Civil Defense in Dubai is one of those heroes and he recently made headlines for his impeccable work.

This Dubai hero rushed into the burning house with no hesitation and successfully rescued 24 occupants single-handedly

Al Kaabi was honoured by Dubai Police for his quick and decisive action that helped save many lives

Al Kaabi was passing by the area where a fire erupted in 2 cars, a tent and an annexe of a house. He noticed the smoke rising and didn’t see any movement or reaction from the residents inside the home. The main gate was also closed and no one was coming out so without wasting any time, he rushed inside. He helped to evacuate the occupants safely and led them away from the flames and smoke. He also provided first aid to one of the injured individuals until Civil Defense teams arrived.

The UAE Civil Defense is committed to training its employees to be highly prepared and always ready to respond to emergencies.
