If you grew up in Dubai then you probably remember visiting Al Mulla Plaza. It’s a shopping centre in Al Nahda that evokes a lot of nostalgia.

After decades of standing tall, yesterday a small section of the mall collapsed

CCTV footage was shared on social media of the ground collapsing slightly and objects falling over.

2 people sustained minor injuries and authorities responded rapidly to ensure visitors’ and workers’ safety

According to Dubai Police, the collapse occurred as a result of improper storage of heavy materials. They also assured that authorities responded quickly and 2 people sustained minor injuries.
