Reports believe that the Emirates flight hit a drone while landing in Nice. The jet remained grounded for four days after the incident. The official cause is yet being investigated by French aviation authorities. Furthermore, damage to planes during flights occurs infrequently.

An Emirates spokesperson said,
“Upon landing, engineers discovered some damage to a slat in the right wing, and the aircraft will remain on the ground to undergo further assessments. Safety is our highest priority and will not be compromised.”
Even though damages rarely appear during Emirates flights, in June 2022, an Emirates airplane bound for Brisbane experienced a safe landing despite a tire rupture that caused damage to the outer part of the aircraft’s structure.
Photos published by Australian media depicted a plane with a hole in its side, and these reports indicated that a tire had exploded during the plane’s take-off.
Kudos to Emirates airline for handling such pretty nerve-wrecking situations so well!
