An Astronaut Celebrates The Palm Jumeirah’s 20th Birthday With Images Taken From Space

You look back on the infamous structures of the country and go wow! Not just because they’re actually works of art but because they’re not new anymore. When we remember that kids born in the 90’s aren’t kids anymore, the millennials get a shocked look on their face. And we’re here to remind you that the Palm Jumeirah is older than you think.

The construction of the Palm Jumeirah began in 2001, making it 20 years old! The Palm is definitely a signature of Dubai. An astronaut from the European Space Agency, Thomas Pesquet tweeted some FACTS about the island.
