The Dubai Police have officially debunked social media rumours saying there’s a one-day 50% off discount on traffic fines, as confirmed Al Bayan on Thursday.

There was news shared on social media about the 50% discount on all traffic violation, which Major Dr. Mohammed Ali Hamoudi, Director of the Call Center for Dubai Police has confirmed isn’t true. For valid sources, residents should always look to authentic or official sources, which in cases like these would be the RTA Dubai.

Dubai Police did announce, however; that part of its tolerance initiative means those who haven’t committed any violations for the last nine months can avail a 75% discount on their traffic fines.

If you haven’t committed any traffic violations since February 7, 2019- you can avail the 75% discount
