HH Sheikh Mohammed Rewarded The ‘Cat’ Heroes AED50,000 Each

Who doesn’t love a wholesome story?

Dubai is never without one, and in recent news, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai was so amased by the heroic deed of four men in Dubai that he granted them each with a AED50,000 reward.

If you don’t recall, a viral video TOOK over social Medi just last week – many communities in the city praised the four men who caught a pregnant cat who fell 30ft from a balcony.

This video has had people smiling from cheek to cheek.

On Wednesday morning, a group of quick thinking men saved a pregnant cat from falling to her death from a residential building at Frij Murar, in Deira.

The Ruler of Dubai’s team saw the video and shared it on his social media accounts then his office tracked down the men for a special surprise 

Speaking to The National, the four men said they were invited to an event where their deeds were celebrated after being reached out to by HH Sheikh Mohammed’s office. 

The heroes: Naseer Muhammad, an RTA bus driver from India, Ashraf Bleinza, a security guard from Morocco, Atif Mehmood, a Pakistani salesman and Rashid Mohammed, an Indian grocery store owner received a phone call from a government official on Thursday afternoon. 

The meet turned out to be quite surprising when, after an official visited and handed each an envelope with the AED50,000 cash rewards.
