It’s spectacular. It’s crisp. It’s sheer. It’s the new AED1,000 banknote that just went into circulation on April 10, 2023.
The UAE first began by releasing new notes for AED5, AED10 and AED50. All 3 had new designs but kept their original colours. All have the face of the Late Sheikh Zayed and have sheer sections.
Now, the new AED1000 has been released and people love it

In the design of the new banknote, the CBUAE was keen to highlight the success story of the UAE, using images along with cultural and development symbols that reflect the pioneering global achievements of the UAE, which boosted its position amongst developed countries in a record time.
The design of the new banknote embodies the forward-looking vision and ambitions that have become a reality for the UAE as a leader in space exploration.
The AED1000 note has a full image of the Late Sheikh Zayed as well as an astronaut to highlight the UAE’s more recent space exploration missions
Many have pointed out that it has a very similar colour to the AED5 so just be sure to check the number before buying your karak!
