BREAKING: The UAE Confirms Next Space Mission To Venus
In further proof the UAE’s ambition knows no bounds, the UAE has announced a new space mission.
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai confirmed today that the UAE aims to explore the planet Venus and 7 other asteroids in the solar system, a 3.6 billion km journey that’s 7 times further than the Hope Probe trip to Mars. The announcement is part of the UAE’s ambitious Year of the 50 project.

Once successful, the UAE will be the first Arab nation to land on an asteroid

This is a historic day for the world and the UAE. The Hope Probe was launched and has reached Mars orbit SUCCESSFULLY at 8:13PM on February 9, 2021.

Upon the first check on the Hope Probe by the @mbrspacecentre showed that all signals and processes were running smoothly for Mars orbit insertion. A few minutes later, the fuel began to burn, reducing the speed of the Hope Probe from approximately 121,000 km/h to roughly 18,000 km/h.
