This country just continues to surprise their residents with convenient transportation, not just within the city, but to other emirates as well. Going to Abu Dhabi and back via the RTA bus was SUPER convenient. The queue from Ibn Battuta’s metro station was really long and people travelled everyday!

Due to COVID restrictions, the route E101 to Abu Dhabi from Dubai was put on hold. BUT we have great news if you’re looking to travel to the capital via bus!

RTA resumes route E101 bus services between Abu Dhabi and Dubai

Route E101 will start from Ibn Battuta Station in Dubai to the Central Bus Station in Abu Dhabi

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the resumption of the E101 bus shuttle between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. And it’s in coordination with Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi.

In order to travel to Abu Dhabi, the COVID-19 restrictions still apply. Adel Shakri, Director of Planning and Business Development, RTA stated that physical distancing and wearing masks must be observed during the trip. Vaccinated individuals must show a green status on Al Hosn App and a designated E or Star. As for unvaccinated individuals, they can enter the emirate after receiving a negative COVID-19 result not taken more than 48 hours prior. The results will reflect on Al Hosn App.
