Africa’s representation in the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023™ has been nothing short of impressive, with three out of four teams advancing to the knockout stage. Morocco, in particular, has made the Arab world proud with their remarkable performance, securing their spot in the round of 16 and winning hearts along the way.
Following the continent’s record-breaking success at Qatar 2022, African teams are once again turning heads on the global stage.
Even Zambia, despite not progressing beyond the group stage, displayed their potential with a convincing 3-1 victory against Costa Rica.

With Africa thriving again on the global stage, these teams are inspiring a new generation of footballers and showing the world the immense talent and determination that lies within the continent.
Being a supporter and promoter of Moroccan Women football..it gives me immense pleasure to see Morocco 🇲🇦 becoming the first Arab team to win a match at #womensworldcup .Beating South Korea who were some 50 fifa ranking above them.

However, under the guidance of coach Reynald Pedros, known for his success with Lyon in Europe, the team showed immense character. They defeated Korea Republic and Colombia, turning the tables on the two-time world champions and securing their place in the next round.
This World Cup has seen unprecedented success for African teams, with more representatives advancing from the group stage than ever before. While Nigeria draws on its experience and tradition, Zambia proves its potential as a newcomer in the tournament.
As Morocco and other African nations head to the knockout stage, they face a new challenge – winning a World Cup knockout match, a feat no African team has achieved yet. But given their outstanding performances so far, it wouldn’t be surprising to witness another historic achievement Down Under.
This is Group E of FIFA World Cup '22 all over again, wonder if this one will end with Germany's exit too. 👀
Also hoping for Morocco to create history, parallel to the success the men's side had recently. 🤞🏼
