Tis the season… to travel?

With three beautiful weeks of school holidays just around the corner, lots of families would usually be gearing up to travel, but after the WHO declared the Omicron variant ‘concerning’, stricter travel restrictions imposed in Europe and flights being cut to some South African countries, the appeal to travel has dampened.

A number of Dubai residents have shared their travel woes, many, of course, are still planning to travel, but there’s a definite note of caution in the air

It’s worth noting, Emirates has reintroduced free COVID travel cover on flights booked and departing before the end of March, which provides some peace of mind for travellers
