You are visiting Islamabad and have no idea where to start from? Not a big deal. The double-decker bus has got your back. The idea was initiated from double decker-bus also known as the London bus, a public transport bus in London.
The twin cities are going to entertain the public and tourists with the double-decker Intracity tourist guided bus. Through the bus, you may visit historic and tourism sites in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Tourists visiting the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are taken on double-decker bus tours of the city. Two buses will run from Allama Iqbal Park and Shamsabad to Constitution Avenue through Shakarparian, operated by the Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP).
The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP), in collaboration with the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), formally started the service in the Allama Iqbal Park on special orders from Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
Allama Iqbal Park in Shamsabad will be the primary stop for the double-decker tourist bus. The bus would go from Allama Iqbal Park to Zero Point through Faizabad, stopping at Shakarparian, Lok Virsa, Chand Tara, China Complex, Rose and Jasmine Garden, Pak Secretariat, and Shah Faisal Mosque.
The Service costs Rs 400. However, children under five years of age and people with disabilities will travel for free. Forty people at one time are cried by the double-decker.
The Chief Minister added that the double-decker bus service will make it easier for tourists to visit the tourist attractions in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, as well as other cities. As a result, he announced that the service will be extended to Bahawalpur.
The Chief Minister emphasized that tourism in the province has a tremendous deal of potential, which will be utilized. Kotli Sattian’s tourist potential would be used through a new initiative, he added.
