How is it ever a Pakistan VS India match without tweeters giving in their, undoubtedly some of the funniest, inputs ever. Yesterday’s Asia Cup match between Pakistan and India was one of the most nerve-wrecking matches ever. Even the phrase nerve-wrecking does not serve any justice to what the people were feeling during the match yesterday. The perfect blend of excitement and anxiety, followed by sheer panic during the last over, made the game even more memorable than it would have been.

This is how the game had us in the last over!

The game kicked off with Pakistan winning the toss and choosing to bowl. It was definitely a rough start as India kept throwing fours and sixes in almost every over. With Naseem Shah not being able to take any wicket during the game, it truly lowered people’s high morale for the insane bowler that he is. India gave Pakistan the target of 182 and for T20 this is definitely a tough score to beat.

However, when it comes to our batsmen no one, and we mean NO ONE, stands a chance. Batting began with Rizwan and Babar’s partnership. Even though Babar Azam couldn’t bat for long, but Rizwan stood his ground till he made a whopping 71 score. This is the second highest score made in this Asia Cup tournament! Rizwan and Nawaz’s partnership was definitely one for the books. Nawaz didn’t stop hitting the boundaries and let’s not forget how he took India’s wicket while bowling.With 100 partnership score they were able to beat all the odds and make it relatively simpler for the players to come.

However, the last overs were a nail-biting sequence for not just Pakistan but also for India. Asif Ali was able to hit a couple of boundaries that got the team closer to the target, before heading out at the last 2 balls. This was when Pakistan had to score 2 runs with only 2 balls left in the game. Iftikhar walked in like a king and showed what he could do regardless if he is under pressure or not. Iftikhar hit a beautiful shot almost towards the boundary before it was grabbed by the fielder and tossed it back into the pitch. However, that gave batsmen enough time to take 2 runs enough to reach the target. And that is how Iftikhar became our outstanding finisher, and Nawaz our flawless man of the match.

And that is how it’s done, ladies and gentlemen.

This is obviously not all. How is this a Pak-India match if we do not talk about some of the funniest reactions people had. With the game being this intense, the people let out a huge sigh of relief when Pakistan took the victory home. Let’s look at some of the best reactions people had!

People could not help but praise Rizwan for what he has helped the team achieve. His massive achievements in the game, considering he was partially injured and was playing under intense pressure, were outstanding.

Honestly, what a player and a man he is! INCOMPARABLE.

And of course people expressed how badly they were missing Shaheen Shah Afridi, who is unfortunately injured and was not fit for the tournament. Shaheen’s ability to topple the wicket in the game’s first over is unbeatable and people could not help but miss moments like those.

Every match that our team plays is an epitome of the saying that goes “all’s well that ends well”. And after this match this has not just been proved but also has been engraved across all mountains in Pakistan. Our Nation definitely needed this victory to uplift the morale of citizens during such a calamity.
