It’s finally here, folks: After months of anticipation, the new Haramain High-Speed Railway gas officially opened to the public on Thursday.
The railway network is expected to reduce the commute time for travelers in the Western Province by a lot
It will connect travelers between Makkah and Madinah through King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) in Rabigh and Jeddah.
According to the chairman of the Public Transport Authority, this is a moment that marks a “historical national turning point in the Kingdom’s modern transportation”.

Direct trips between Makkah and Madinah will take two hours, and trips between Makkah and Madinah stopping at Jeddah and KAEC will take an additional 20 minutes.
It is eventually expected to operate daily.
