Avatar

Just this week, 160 students arrived in Rwanda to continue with their medical studies following the current uprisings taking place in Sudan.

These students from the University of Medical Sciences and Technology will now be enrolled at the University of Rwanda – School of Medical and Health Sciences for the remainder of their courses.

Positive news amidst adversity!

The Vice Chancellor of Rwanda University, Didace Kayihura Muganga, appeared before the national broadcaster of the country to announce the news that they would be allowing students from UMST to continue with their regular study schedule after the ongoing war has caused their colleges to close down.

The rest of the batches can’t wait to catch up!

A sweet gesture from our neighbouring African brothers and sisters

Best part? This exchange program will benefit staff too!

Amidst ongoing discussions, both universities are set to finalise an agreement to also facilitate staff exchange programs once peace is restored in Sudan.

Rwanda’s commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for these students is commendable ❤️🇸🇩🤝🇷🇼
